A few guys have asked me what is the deal with the "RSS" reader thing in the upper right. Here's the scoop. RSS is a fairly new Internet technology that summarizes new info on the web site and then sends it in a compact format called XML.

You "read" RSS XML with an RSS reader. You can download a good free one at http://www.rssreader.com

After installing the RSS reader on your computer, add a new "feed". The feed for BMW TURBOS is http://bmwturbos.scottiesharpe.com/rss.asp

The RSS reader will "check in" with the feed every hour or so and scope out the new posts. It will then present the posts to you in a "newsreader" format, with the title at the top right and a summary screen in the lower right.

You can even have it DING DONG when new posts go onto the board.

Many web sites now have RSS feeds to get newly posted news.

Google home page has a built-in RSS reader (it's kind of low on features, though!). Here's a link to get it working.

I wanted to use the RSS feed on my new PDA cellphone from work, and found a nice free one for PocketPC.

Here's an even faster way to add this site to your RSS Reader:

This link won't work so paste it manually into your browser:

This one for GOOGLE:

http://fusion.google.com/add?feedurl=http://bmwturbos.scottiesharpe.com/rss.asp

This one for YAHOO:

http://add.my.yahoo.com/rss?url=http://bmwturbos.scottiesharpe.com/rss.asp
