Many said this wouldnít happen Ė that W.A.R. would never come. 45 days ago we announced our plan. We have had our haters and doubters and the people who believed. Thanks to all who have supported us! Well, its only hours away and it IS coming. We have 100ís of W.A.R. Chips in stock that are waiting deployment.
It has been fun developing something as unique as the W.A.R. Chip, and like our MAF conversion kits, the W.A.R. Chip is just another product that sets us apart from the rest. We have been working hard for several months now, and hopefully our hard work pays off. The W.A.R. Chip software will continue to grow. The more people that learn to tune the better the experience for W.A.R. will be. With limited amounts of people actually knowing a thing or two about tuning, W.A.R. Basic (what is being released) is meant to get most peoples feet wet. Many people canít handle the concept of air flow tables, load scaling etc. And many people donít care to know. But as people gain experience with W.A.R. the more people will openly help those wanting to learn to tune. While the W.A.R. Chip isnít the end all answer to tuning, it is definitely a useful tool with some useful, yet basic software. As itís been mentioned before, many features can be taken care of in the ďback endĒ with the ability to massage the rest out by the end user.
Never before has there been a tool like the W.A.R. Chip that offers this amount of flexibility, and control. It can be used on its own as hardware to hardcore tuners, or it can be used to fine tune your existing setup to get the most out of your car.
There isnít much else to say, the W.A.R. is here, it will only get better, and itís up to all of us to start the revolution over traditional performance chips.

Critical question for 745 is above -- does it work on ECU xxx013?

OK, I am definately not an expert, but I have a few questions. My interest is related to M88 and M106 motors.

First, pretty basic. In order to get a tuning baseline, are the factory ignition and fuel maps available? Does Miller provide?

Looking at the picture of WAR software window:
How is load calculated? Anything else besides the AFM or MAF reading used?
Is Load calculated on the WAR chip, or done elsewhere on the ECU and given to the WAR chip?
Is air temp factored in on the ECU or on the chip? if on the chip, How?
If using a MAF, is there still a need for air temp, and if not how is it removed from play?
How is coolant temp factored in? On the Chip or elsewhere on the ECU?
For M106, it looks like boost level is not a tuning factor. True? Boost level shows up in AFM/MAFreading and therefore part of load?
Can boost limits be managed by the chip? How does it do it?

Thanks!
