Stumbled upon this site, great info as im currently working on 2 745i's
One is a parts car for the other
9/84 build 745i, black on black all opcions,wood everywhere, glass sunroof, rear power seats, rear radio control, leather door panels, leather dash,euro front, metric BBS RS :(
This is the sad part as this car is the actual parts car, is in very rough shape, rust everywhere
3/86 build 745i Executive, Red on Bufallo leather, power rear seats, but not much else, the engine is shot, turbo is shot, but the body and interior is in pristine condition, tranny is good also, we already swapped the engines and got the executive running again, but its running rough and it smokes really bad, black smoke so any insights are welcomed on this issue, no engine mods watsoever
Again very helpfull website, also from the leftover parts we are building a e34 535i turbo so any insight and tips on that is also welcomed

Thanks for the reply, havent worked on the executive for the last couple of days but this weekend hopefully we will get it running straight again, been reading alot tru the site and been learning alot about these cars, lots of valuable info
