I love my "other" PB interior. Pacificblau cloth FTW!

I must say I am very partial to the Alpineweiß paint though. I really wanted a white 745 to go with my other white Bimmers

Nice looking ride, well except for the Perl interior, I'm not much for that color. But then folks hate the interior on my white 85, the other PB color, Pacific Blue.

I've been all over that e38 links page. Whoever put that together has earned some serious karma. I'll be heading back for the HVAC stuff next. That was great to get two low ball offers on parts when I was only looking for advice. I'm surprised that nobody offered in the Euro bumpers and grilles...

As she's sitting now, I'm waiting on parts - a brake switch, new belts, coolant lines & a fuel filter. Then I'll flush the hydraulics and see if I can't find that hydro valve leak to finally get her back on the road.

I'm with you on the pearl beige too. It's not a bad color, just bland. It's not in great shape either, very dry and cracked. I'll get it swapped out down the road sometime. It's not original regardless - it was pearl beige fabric originally.

So the car isn't terribly original. It'll take me a fortune to restore her to original glory, so I'll just drive her as-is & restore as I can afford to. Here's the build sheet options and their current status:

Found a new VIN decoder, not sure if everyone has this bookmarked yet:
http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/

The other ones I used are all now charging fees, this one is free. It's not perfect unless you can read German.

That site looks like a great reference too. Does it give you the build sheet somewhere?

Once you punch in your VIN, toward the top of that screen you will see 'options'

The options lists are not always 100% right from what I have seen. Some just do not work, others have stuff listed as options but were standard equipment on others, etc. I have stuff on my car that is missing on my list and my local pal has stuff listed on his sheet that was standard.
