I have the practice of spraying fogging oil into cylinders of my stored cars. Imagine my surprise when I fired up my sleeping 45i and a small mushroom cloud Rose form the open engine bay! No harm , just a intake lower vac hose blew off From turbo pressure and fogging oil residue and a open valve on one of the six. Scary thing.
Yes I do all engines that are in storage, long winters here. I try to turn engine over by hand and get fogging oil coating all the way on cylinder walls. I figure the last thing a cylinder gets before shut down is air and gas mix which rusts metal , everything I have lasts forever but maybe cause of other thing nags I do also.
