| scottie | TURBO IS ON BABY! The problem: not exactly known, but suspect bad motor temp sensor for motronic (the one near the valve cover). Although the readings on the other sensor were the same, I swapped the sensor (after trying a million other things) with Vic's junk car and it worked. I am going to swap back my old sensor to assure myself that this was really the issue. But the boost feels good and no cut out!

| scottie | Thanks Jon! I have Vic's spare wastegate on now and I will be mailing the other wastegate to you (the one that needs redone) today. I will also be enclosing a check for the fuel controller.

| Jens | Scottie!
The problem is your sensor or the wires to your sensor.
Thats a fact.
Sincerely Jens

Overheating protection
A safety feature against overheating has been integrated in the Motronic unit. This is in addition to the yellow warning light in the instrument panel. The safety feature shuts off injection at extremely high ambient temperatures, when the engine coolant reaches a temperature above approximately 257°F. This applies only at 3500 rpm and above and at a simultaneous load signal >6.5 ms (upper load range and full load). The vehicle can still be driven safely. The shut down of the fuel injection unit will cause shuddering.
