What do "you" use on your dash ???
AdamI'm not a big Armour All fan, but I am looking for the very best substance to keep my crack-free dash in good condition. Someone suggested a product called "Vinylex". Has anyone used this product ?, is there a better alternative ??? Thanks to anyone who has an idea. Adam
Jon 86 745 MSAdam, I like to use a product by Leatherique called Pristin Clean. It's a pretty good product and seems not to leave a film that attracts dirt and dust. If you have a crack free dash be sure to use a windshield cover to protect it from the sun. Crack free dash is a rare item. Keep up the good work. AdamThank you very much Jon. I've been given a ton of off-the-shelf recommendations. The only problem is that most of them say "Just keep using it". This makes me nervous as I would like to find something that is more gentle to the original material. The idea that there will be a perpetual reapplication process due to the oxidation of the product applied says to me that it's recycling with a solvent base. Basically, it's drying out of the material and in the process drying out the material. No bueno. Where would I find this Pristin Clean product by Leatherique ?. Oh and as far as the windshield cover, I use one as well as a dash cover. I've heard so many on the boards complain that their e23 is almost perfect except for the dash, that I consider myself very lucky that the original owner (I'm #2), garaged, and covered it for the first 16 yrs. : ) Mui bueno. Get back to me when you can or email me, I'm very interested in pursuing your recommendation !! Thanks again !! Adam
Jon 86 745 MSAdam I will be out of town all of next week. If you will email me your address I will send you some in a bottle to try. I buy it by the gallon and have plenty for you to test some and see what you think. Jon Jacobs 86 745i (Das Rocket) 16 psi+ Boost with Team WWW.745i.com Performance Parts

AdamLarry, This particular product is specifically for leather, am I correct ?. Jon seems to like the way it works on his dash. Will this keep a certain amount of elasticity to the vinyl ?. Just curious. Adam PS Thanks for the link, I checked it out, also found the pic nice too. : )
Larry 735iAdam: They have different products for different Apps, I would take Jon's offer, he won't steer you wrong. And go from there. Best wishes. Larry Larry 735i
