Another question on Cabin/temp sensor
David 733iHow do you test if the sensor is good? Is there resistance values etc. that can be checked. I have mine out of the car and want to make sure it is OK. Thanks.
Afshin-SwitzerlandA simple way is just to put a termometer in the car and check if it keeps the right tempreture ....! I know that mine works just fine, because I got a termometer inside. It allways matches within ± 2°C with what I read on my thumbnails. Regards, Afshin. 1982 745i
Afshin-SwitzerlandSorry, haven't noticed that your's already out ... ! Regards, Afshin. 1982 745i
David 733iI ran the car on the weekend in both heating and cooling modes and the temperature was always kept properly. That was with this sensor sitting on my garage floor. Is it just an ambiant air sensor? How can the system work properly without it?
JensQuestion is, what and where was it what you toulk out of your car? Sincerely Jens
David 733iI am talking about the sensor that bolts to the blower motor with the flexible probe that sticks down into the car.
Jens:) cute U need to remove the one next to the thumb wheels. Sincerely Jens
David 733iBut I don't want to remove it. I want to know what the one I have on the floor does. Most of my AC system works except for the blower. The only reason I took the sensor out was because it came out with the blower. I have been driving without either. Works quite well actually. I use the sunroof to control the amount of air flow through the cabin and I can turn on and off the vents.
